Who is Andrew Giesler?
Email: andrewmgiesler@gmail.com

Andrew Giesler is an undergraduate sports broadcaster at the University of Southern California. He is entering into his junior year and is a human biology major at the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, with a minor in sports media industries at the Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism.
Whether it be courtside in Spokane, Washington for the Women's Sweet 16 Tournament announcing for his school's radio, in the booth for a Sweet 16 soccer match for ESPN+, or back in the crease as a hockey goalie just announcing the game he sees in front of him to nobody, Andrew has always loved sports broadcasting. He thinks it is the ultimate connector between people in the world, and enjoys being the voice that make people smile while watching their favorite team win.
Andrew's work ethic is something that he pride's himself upon. From April of 2024 to April 2025, Andrew wrote 198 sports articles for his job at The Sporting Tribune and with Annenberg Media at USC. He has been able to attend some amazing sports events, from writing Octagon-side at the Intuit Dome and UFC 311, to covering the USC vs UCLA basketball game at Pauley Pavilion.
Andrew has thrown himself headfirst into the world of sports broadcasting, getting hired to be a part of USC's inaugural Big Ten StudentU program and announcing on all different USC sports.
He then got involved with KXSC sports, the Trojan's student radio program that broadcasts football, basketball, and baseball games. Initially helping with pregame, halftime and postgame shows, Andrew worked himself up to calling games live by the end of his sophomore year, and even going to Spokane, Washington to announce some of the women's basketball Sweet 16 games. By the end the year, Andrew was named as one of the co-Sports Directors for the program.

During the Summer of 2025, Andrew has had the opportunity of doing play-by-play commentary with the Orange County Riptide in the California Collegiate League. He loves connecting and talking with the players and finding unique storylines that cannot necessarily be found online. He leads the Ripcurrent podcast, acting as the host of the show while also doing all the behind-the-scenes work as well.
He looks forward to launching a new series called "Divots and Dingers," where he takes players out on the golf course to play 9-holes in this long-formed interview, combining his favorite pastime of golf with his love for interviewing athletes at all levels.
When he is not on the mic or reading a chemistry textbook, Andrew loves being outside with friends and staying active. He has run two marathons and is looking forward to running a third in late-2025!
